This week I sat down with Meredith Simmerman, licensed counselor, for a quick interview. Her practice has evolved into one that is primarily focused on the well-being of women. Her intuitive nature helps her guide women through the many challenges females are facing in today's world.
Helping women set healthy boundaries is one area
that she knows is a foundation for a happy life. Discovering each woman's individual "yes" is another building block to a healthy self-esteem. Learning how to manage a career, family and relationships is the emphasis of counseling sessions with Meredith. Click here to watch the Facebook Live video of my quick chat with her.

Many of us are dealing with taking care of aging parents and relatives. Sherri Wright, owner of Caring Transitions in Mobile & Baldwin Counties, knows how to help! Her company specializes in downsizing in a loving way. When it is time to relocate, her team shines. They move your loved one into a new setting and remove as much stress as possible. Imagine your senior walking into his or her new place and it is completely unpacked and set up! This is called resettling and it is what Sherri does for her clients. "Boss of the Week"
Lesley Senne, Owner of Salt & Light Spa
Mobile & Baldwin
Meet the Boss of the Week: Lesley Senne. She owns Salt & Light Spa located in Piccadilly Square in Mobile, Alabama. Her spa was the first to bring Halotherapy to the area! She continues to introduce new treatments on a regular basis. Personally, I am a tremendous fan of Halotherapy and how it eliminates so many sinus symptoms. Another service that she provides is the Aquapod IR Hydration Pod which is a little bit of heaven on earth! Click here to read her story on meet da' boss.com
Lesley is expanding her business "across the Bay" into Baldwin County. Salt & Light Spa will be opening a second location in Fairhope, Alabama in March! Congratulations to this "boss lady" !
I asked Lesley to share some insights on Mobtown! Enjoy!
#1 What is an “insider tip” for people moving to or visiting Mobile?
Visit local establishments like Callaghan's to get the feel of the city. ~ Lesley (Callaghan's is a local bar that serves great burgers, has live entertainment & is dog friendly)!
#2 What is your favorite thing about living in Mobile?
There is plenty to do and the people are great. Plus it's home. ~ Lesley
#3 What is one thing you would like people to know about your business?
We strive to make every person feel welcome, relaxed and at home. If a particular package doesn't work for you, talk to us about it. We can find what works best for you and your schedule. ~ Lesley
#4 What do you do for fun?
Spend time with my adult kids and spend time with friends. Nothing fancy. Just a meal and conversation. ~ Lesley
Thank you, Lesley for sharing with us!
Ellen Pino, owner of Avant Tous Spa in Baton Rouge has filled a need in that community for a full service luxury destination. Her numerous spa locations offer manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, skincare, medical skincare, microblading, airbrush tans, hair, makeup and more.
Avant Tous means "before all" and Ellen has built a culture of indulging clients with a place to relax and begin again. In my interview with Meredith (see above), one of the things that she stressed was you can't pour from an empty cup. It is important to find ways to care for yourself and Avant Tous presents ways to prioritize self-care!
